So I was pretty down about things a couple weeks ago...just feeling overwhelmed. We've ALL been there in our own little ways. Isn't it easy to get caught up in it and not see our way out?
Well, you all know that I listen to KLove like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Corny as it might sound to some, I truly feel like God has spoken to me through the songs that I hear at
exactly the right times when I just need to feel and hear Him. I don't care if thousands and thousands of people are listening right along with me...I still feel like it's a personal intervention.
So, I really, really like Francesca Battistelli. She came out with a new single off of her newest album, and it just hit at the perfect time in my life. I hear it all the time now and it keeps me SOOOO encouraged that I'm not the only crazy one out there getting caught up in my own trivial "drama" some days. Check out these lyrics and you'll see why...
This Is The Stuff :
I lost my keys in the great unknown
And call me please 'cuz I can't find my phone
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff that's getting to me lately
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I'm blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
But I gotta trust You know exactly what You're doing
It might not be what I would choose
So break me of impatience
Conquer my frustrations
I've got a new appreciation
It's not the end of the world
I've come to the conclusion that God allows frustrations in our lives to refine our character, break us of our weaknesses, and help us see how truly lucky we are to be saved. So what if Lilly decides to rip her entire outfit and diaper off 6 times before I leave the house in the morning, or Grant runs into the bathroom to pee and goes all over the wall and floor as I'm putting on my jacket to head to work? My patience is greater, right?! Jury's still out...but I'm getting there!
In the end, I know, because of who He is, I have so much to be grateful for!!
