Mr. Kegley

I rarely talk about Tim in my posts and his comment when I actually do post a picture or mention him is something to the effect of "wow, I made the blog!" Sorry honey! It's time...he's "making the blog" today. And I have a favor to ask in all of it too.

Shortly after Grant was born, Tim was laid off from a great sales job, but we didn't stress...we were pretty confident it wasn't the right fit anyway. After weeks of prayer and contemplation, he decided to take the plunge and go for round two as a full-time student at IUPUI and a part-time stay at home dad (he was incredible!). Tim has worked SO hard over the last three years toward his Bachelor's in Secondary Education and is graduating in three weeks!!!

I'm convinced, along with many others, that Tim is a natural born teacher/coach and this is absolutely what me was made to do. I've never seen him so driven, patient, and organized. He's done a fantastic job networking, taken on leadership positions, has coached, and made the dean's list (yay!) several times. And has done it all while gracefully balancing a busy marriage and family. Can you tell I'm proud???

I even made him pose for his first day of student teaching...good luck, Mr. Kegley!

We are so thankful for the opportunity for him to pursue this career he's talked about doing since the day we met. The job search adventure is in full swing and we're anxiously waiting for good news over the next few months. He's social studies focused, which means he'll be certified to teach: Historical Perspectives, Geographical Perspectives, Government, and Psychology. Don't hesitate to let us know if you hear of any potential positions!

So, here's really my favor...would you please pray for Tim and the journey he's about to take? I know he would really appreciate it. I have total peace in knowing that God is already in control and already has a plan, but not gonna lie - it's still sometimes hard waiting for that plan to unfold. I'm impatient...luckily he's not!

Congratulations Tim...you are so deserving of this degree and the teaching/coaching career that awaits you!
